<용어풀이>

Lokuttara(loka+uttara) = that which transcends(uttara) the world of five aggregates (loka).

[세상 + 넘어서는 = 다섯 가지 무더기(오온)의 세상을 초월한 것]

Magga = Path = group of 8 factors, namely, Right Understanding, Right Thought, etc.

[도(道) = 팔정도(八正道) 즉, 바른 이해, 바른 생각 등]

Magga-citta = Path-consciousness, lit., consciousness accompanied by Path.

[도(道) 의식, 도를 수반하는 의식]

Sota = stream, here the stream of Ariyan Path.

[예류, 여기서는 성자의 길의 흐름]

Apatti = reaching for the first time A = first patti = reaching, arriving.

[도착하는, 도달하는][처음 도달한]

Sotapatti-magga-citta = Path consciousness obtained through reaching the stream of the Noble Path for the first time.

[처음 고귀한 길의 흐름에 도달함에서 얻은 도(道)의식]

Sakadagam = One who comes back once(to this human world)

[인간계에 한번 오는 이]

Sakadagam-magga-citta = Path consciousness of one who comes back once(to this human world).

[사다함(一來)의 도(道) 의식]

Anagami = One who does not come back(to this Sensuous World)

[욕계에 다시 돌아오지 않는 이]

Anagami-magga-citta = Path consciousness of one who does not come back(to this Sensuous World). (Imam. Kamadhatum..Ibid.,98.)

[아나함(不還)의 도(道)의식]

Arahatta < arahanta+tta:

Arahanta = One who is worthy to accept offerings.(The reare other meanings too.)

[공양을 받을 만 한분]

Arahatta = the state of being an Arahant.

[아라한의 상태]

Arahatt-magga-citta = Path consciousness of the state of being a Worthy One.

[아라한도(道)의식]

phala = fruit, fruition, result.
